Specialty pharmacy, run on one clinical workflow
OwlRx is our platform for specialty and infusion pharmacies. It works alongside your pharmacy management system and brings your team, your prescribers and your patients’ therapy into one secure workspace.
Why OwlRx
Built by people who run pharmacy IT
One workflow, intake to delivery
Every prescription moves through one shared workflow, so the work no longer lives in spreadsheets and inboxes.
Clinical programs, built in
Designed for biologic and infusion therapy, from the first referral through ongoing care.
Connected to your partners
Works with your pharmacy management system in real time and gives prescribers and sites of care secure access to what they need.
Security
Built with HIPAA safeguards from day one
Patient data deserves more than a spreadsheet. OwlRx was designed around privacy and access control from the start. These safeguards are built in:
Tenant isolation
Each pharmacy’s data is fully isolated from every other customer’s, so no one can see records that aren’t theirs.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Data is encrypted on the way in and while stored, with an extra layer on the most sensitive fields.
Role-based access
Access is set by role, down to individual fields and tabs, so each person sees only what their job needs.
Patient details masked by default
Sensitive details stay hidden unless a role is allowed to see them. If a check fails, they stay hidden.
Multi-factor sign-in
Sign-in can require a second factor from an authenticator app, or go through your organization’s single sign-on.
Automatic sign-out
Idle sessions sign out on their own after 15 minutes, so an unattended screen doesn’t stay open.
Tamper-evident audit trail
An append-only audit trail that shows if any entry was ever altered.
Protected passwords
Passwords are stored with modern one-way hashing and are never kept in readable form.
Security checks on every change
Automated security checks run on every code change we make.
